Michael T. Radcliffe
Michael T. Radcliffe is the founder and principal shareholder of DEC Investment Group, Inc., a rapidly growing real estate company. Mr. Radcliffe is the Chairman of the Board of the Company.
Prior to forming DEC, Mr. Radcliffe was a Senior Partner of Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur, a firm of approximately 260 lawyers who have offices in Columbus; Cleveland; Cincinnati; Dayton; Naples, Florida; and Washington, D.C. Porter, Wright is one of the largest law firms in the United States. Mr. Radcliffe is Chairman of the Tax and Business Departments of the firm, specializing in business representation, tax planning, real estate, and the merger and acquisition of financial institutions. For over ten years, Mr. Radcliffe was the principal lawyer at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur, in charge of all of the activities of the firm's largest real estate clients. These companies were among the largest developers of residential apartments and single family homes in the United States. As the principal attorney in charge of the activities of these two companies, Mr. Radcliffe directed the affairs of a large team of lawyers and non-lawyers in hundreds of transactions. These transactions included all phases of the acquisition, rental, financing, refinancing, and sale of all types of real estate. Mr. Radcliffe has significantly reduced his commitment of time to the law firm in order to act as the full-time Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DEC. Mr. Radcliffe, however, continues to be a partner of, and a counselor to, the firm.
Mr. Radcliffe is active in many professional and civic associations, including the American Bar Association, The Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Columbus School for Girls and continues as a member of the Board and the Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Board of the Columbus Museum of Art where he also serves as Chairman of the Business Advisory Council. Mr. Radcliffe was appointed by Governor Voinovich to the Ohio Arts Council which directs the official arts policy of the State of Ohio and provides funding for a variety of arts organizations. Mr. Radcliffe is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the Ohio Premier Girls' Soccer Club, and a minority owner of the Columbus Crew, a Major League soccer franchise.
Mr. Radcliffe is a 1970 graduate of the University of Chicago (Phi Beta Kappa) and a 1973 graduate of Harvard Law School (Cum Laude).
Mr. Radcliffe and his wife, Shelley, have three children, Paul, Matthew, and Carrie.
William S. Jump
William S. Jump is President and a Director of DEC Investment Group, Inc. Mr. Jump previously was a Vice President with Cummins Engine Co., a Fortune 200 company with annual sales of over $6 billion. He had a variety of responsibilities with Cummins for over 18 years in domestic and international operations including responsibility for a startup operation in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Mr. Jump and his family lived in Sao Paolo for six years where he was a director of a joint venture between Cummins and CAEMI, the largest privately held holding company in Brazil. CAEMI-Cummins built and marketed diesel engines in Brazil as well as components for the export markets. Mr. Jump, as Vice President of the Midwest division for Cummins, was responsible for a territory with over $500 million in revenue.
As President and Chief Operating Office of DEC, Mr. Jump oversees all management activity pertaining to DEC's portfolio, which consists of residential and commercial properties. Since co-founding DEC, Mr. Jump has been the chief operating officer in charge of a skilled team of real estate professionals which has successfully acquired and built apartments, condominiums, restaurants, hotels and shopping centers.
Mr. Jump is active in several professional and civic associations which includes serving as President of the Board of Marburn Academy, a private school for the learning disabled, and a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Columbus Museum of Art and a member of the Board of Trustees for The Columbus Opera.
Mr. Jump is a graduate of The University of Colorado School of Business.
Mr. Jump and his wife, Patricia, have three children, Mark, Clark and Merrin.
George L. Jenkins
Effective January 1, 2007, Mr. Jenkins joined DEC as a Principal. Prior to joining DEC, Mr. Jenkins was a partner in the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Jenkins joined the firm in 1966 and left January 1, 1971 to become the First Assistant Attorney General of the State of Ohio, Chief of Staff. Mr. Jenkins returned to the firm on January 1, 1975 and practiced with the firm until December 31, 2006. During his tenure with the firm, Mr. Jenkins specialized in corporate and real estate development law. His corporate practice concentrated on mergers and acquisitions and the representation of venture capital firms and start-up and emerging companies. His real estate practice involved the development of multiuse projects such as Capital South, the Columbus urban mall and the Polaris development, which included a 2,000,000 square foot up-scale mall plus millions of square feet of ancillary retail space, millions of square feet of office space and food, hotel, hospitality and other uses. His clients included The Casto Group, Capital South Community Urban Development Corporation, The Solove Group, Polaris Partners, and Mid-States Development Real Estate Corporation.
Mr. Jenkins has also been active in numerous professional, civic and political organizations during his career. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association. He has been active in United Way, the Columbus Foundation, where he chairs the Business Development Advisory Committee, various professional committees and organizations, and numerous others. Mr. Jenkins has also been active in managing numerous political campaigns and serving in various advisory capacities for public officials.
Mr. Jenkins received his Bachelor or Arts degree from Kent State University in 1963, magna cum laude, and his law degree from the University of Michigan, with distinction, in 1966
